This temple is named after her. The temple is located 7 km away from Pazhiyankudi in Theni district and 15 km from Thekkady in Idukki district.

Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary

The history of the park stems from the construction of the Mullaperier Dam which led to the formation of the Periyar lake in Kerala.
