Lalitha Damodaran, an engineer by qualification took to Nutrition, Yoga and Sports training for her own needs 16 years back to enhance her fitness journey by reducing weight, getting fitter by focussing on eating the right foods and to enable her foray into running and to resolve her PCOD & Thyroid issues. She successfully lost all her excess weight, ran several 10k’s and half marathons, got rid of her PCOD and thus began her interest in Nutrition and Yoga. She went on to study nutrition in detail and has devoted the past 10 + years to delve deep into nutrition research, best food practices, ideal fitness modules, yogic practices, sports anatomy, physiology, nutrition for recovery, sports injuries & prevention.
 

Yoga for Mind, Body and Soul

This helps to design a suitable level of program after the detailed consultation during the initial session.

About the Program:

  • Client profiling, addressing concerns and health issues if any. Blood tests will be recommended if required. Nutritional analysis and suggestions.
  • Hatha Yoga- After a round of Sun Salutations, exploring deeper insights into asanas & pranayama, a brief introduction to bandhas. The practice will focus on understanding body dynamics and curating the practice to suit individual needs. An introduction to yoga asanas with modifications to suit individual levels of strength, flexibility and balance.
  • Evening wind down practice to prepare the body for rest and restoration. Asanas that focus on restoration, healing and relaxation along with breathing practices to calm the nervous system. Finish the practice with a short yoga nidra to access your inner self.
  • Yoga for detox/destress/digestion: A powerful & strong sequence of asanas to detox and release toxins from the body involving several postures and stronger bandhas to strengthen the gut, improve digestion & liver functioning and build abdominal strength.
  • Yoga for a Strong Spine & Back: You are as young as your spine. Spinal health is of utmost importance as one age and it is essential to create good movement along the spine to maintain the natural flexibility of the spine. A strong back is important to maintain the integrity of our posture and to avoid issues like slip disc, cervical spondylosis etc. A gentle yet powerful sequence to improve back and spine strength. Wind down the practice with some deep stretching asanas to restore the whole body and activate the parasympathetic nervous system.
  •  Access your Core - It's all in your GUT - A strong Core lays the foundation for a strong body & mind. It's all in your gut. A strong practice to understand core abdominal muscles and how to strengthen the overall core strength of the body. A good core is important to function every day without aches and pains, a good core also directly translates to a strong and stable mind that aids in decision making, the ability to handle tough situations and to keep the good overall health of the body and mind. Finish the practice with some pranayama practices and seated meditation.
